This software enables you to study the physics of moving assemblies, helping you to refine designs and enhance reliability. With SolidWorks Motion, you can estimate peak motor torque, analyse robotic performance during operation, size motors/actuators, and determine power consumption. In addition to laying out linkages and developing cams, you can analyses gear drives, size springs/dampers, determine how contacting parts behave, and minimize force imbalances in rotating systems.
Motion analysis can be solved using two different solution paradigms, time based motion and event based motion:
In a time-based analysis, external actions occur at a pre-set time irrespective of the assembly motion.
In an event based motion analysis, the motion of the assembly triggers the external action.
